Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Baseline Studio collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this site only. It does not cover the products we design for our clients, which are governed by those companies own privacy notices.

The only place this site asks for personal information is the contact form. When you submit it we receive the fields you filled in and the date and time of submission.

• Your company name, if you choose to give one
• The project type and timeline you selected
• The message you wrote

We use what you send us for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if it turns into a project, to run that project. We do not use it to build a marketing list, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a design studio in order to be contacted back. If your enquiry becomes an engagement, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and requested pages, for security and reliability. We also use privacy-friendly, cookieless visitor analytics that count page views without tracking individuals across sites.

This site sets no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party marketing scripts.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after twelve months. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the correspondence for the life of the engagement plus seven years, because our accountants and our professional indemnity insurers require it. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: our website host, our email provider and our accounting software. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and none of them may use your information for their own purposes.

We do not transfer your information outside our providers, and we will not disclose it to anyone else unless we are legally required to.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email studio@baseline.design and we will respond within 30 days. You do not need to use any particular wording and there is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
